Eric Young believes that by next week farmer from Cane River will benefit from a 5.5 horsepower pump that was donated to them by the Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS) and Food For The Poor. “We couldn’t get nuh water, but right now, we get a pump and I feel so good about it because it will really help us”, said Eric. Do to droughts some farmer near the Cane River had to limit there crops of get out of farming, but with pumps they could pump all the water they need. farmers are make plains to build a big metal task which they pump the water in and save for later. But for now the have pipelines for water. They plain on buying a 20 acre farm. “Is a good size – about over 20 acres – and we are asking them if we could get that piece of land. We would just get it surveyed and subdivided and it is going to take an amount (money) to fence it, but we will work hard to do it because we need it.” Stated Eric Young.

Farmer in Jamaica know how to solve a problem and even benefit from Them. I keep saying and I am going to repeat that farmers in the US need to learn from Jamaica. They us pumps to save there farm and people are willing to donate pumps for the farmer. The JAS really knows how to help there country out. Keep it up JAS and Jamaica!
