#8 Less imported food, Jamaica want

In  Jamaica the agriculture and fisheries minister Hon Clarke said that Jamaica needs to cut there bill on imported food, and start growing it there self’s. Jamaica had some grain shortages this season.  The whole country needs to work on getting food for them self not import it. Jamaica had $1 billion dollars spent on importing food last year and now he says that we need to “grow what we eat and eat what we grow.”  “We have done much, whether it is in livestock, whether in research, in fisheries, agriculture  or helping to develop farmers’ organisations.” Minister Clarke said.

This is a good thing to cut down on food bills and maybe spend it on something that will help the country to gain more economics. It is a great idea for Jamaica to “grow what we eat and eat what we grow.” Maybe the USA should do the same thing and that would help our economics out. Jamaica keep up the good work on helping the farmers of your country!
